I have decided to change the theme of my blog.  In a perfect world I would be cool and design one on my own, but I am not sure what I would do… I wish I knew how to work with photos better.  It would be cool to do a strip of photos from different ages along the side bar, then have the rest of the blog be clean lines and cool functionality.

It also became clear to me the other day that I really needed to re-do the art website, which of course is something I have been saying for a while now.  I would love to use wordpress as the cms and make it  so my sister and my dad could post things, but I have not taken the time to look into it.  Regardless, when I make changes you will know about it.

Last Friday while having a nice dinner at the local Red Robin Mario and I had some wonderful wedding break throughs.

1. website addresses for the wedding and for the web hosting business that we could never come up with a name for.
The blog for the wedding is www.geekwedding.info (which if you have met us makes perfect sense). The second site name was actually a suggested site from GoDaddy.com. Our web hosting company is now called GeekFiesta.com. If that doesn’t make you want to host with us I don’t know what would.

2. Robots in love. I don’t know if there is anything sweeter than robots in love so we are porbaby going to be integrating them into our web site and somehow into the things we send out to people.

3. Hacking together some sort of photo booth would be cool (admittedly this was me driving this one). But subsequent Google searching uncovered several programs that will allow a person to use a digital camera and computer and printer to make the guts of a photo booth. There were even a couple open source programs. I can’t wait to try them.

I just realized the other day that I have not worked on any of the web stuff I have been telling myself I wanted to be working on.  For example, since I fixed the RSS feeds for the Mixed Student Resources I have not posted anything on it and now its in jepordy of becoming another stale site with potential.  Orantes Gallery is in serious need of redesign, and I kind of want to tweak this one some more.  I think I am a little bored with it.   And I have a slick computer now, I no longer have the excuse that my computer is slow, or that I am tied to the wall.

I think i just need to figure out a way to fit in all the things I want to do.  Computer stuff, art stuff, working out, planning a wedding, training Mono, spending time with the boy, getting together with my friends from time to time, working with Janie on college stuff, working with Nicole on school stuff.

I think once the kitchen gets functional and finished we will feel alot more at ease.  Even though I am one to live in Chaos it is starting to get a little old.  I miss watching movies on the projector and cuddling on the couch as a family (cat, dog, boy, girl)
