This is a wordpress plugin that allows you to show a picasa web album (all the pictures) in a wordpress blog post or page. When you click on the picture it opens up a lightbox window so you are not taken away from the page. But your pictures live on the Picasa server. Lighter on your site, and you can manage all your photos in one location. Google you are getting more and more of my life, but you make it so easy for people to put together great plugins like this.

of course it only happens to me

In my life as it pertains to technology, I have come across many odd little things that only happen to me. I am not sure if its because I like to try things out with technology, and maybe I don’t use the software as its intended, but in that case I like to think of myself as a tester. But honestly the oddest thing has been happening the last few days. On my computer, and appernetly only my computer, when I try to access my own blog (seatowngrrl.com) when I use firefox it just shuts down. Now If I type in the address of any other part of the blog, like seatowngrrl.com/post it will go to that post, and I can login to the site if i type in the /wp-login.php. It is very frustrating.

I have tried unintstalling firefox completely, uninstalling the plugins and everything, and still it crashes. Right now I am using Opera (which I should have been trying a while ago anyway)
I can get to the home page just fine. If anyone has any ideas as to why this would be happening drop me a line.

UPDATE:  The second I posted this post I can get to my homepage from firefox again.  Could it have had something to do with the valentines monkey butt picture?

Very odd indeed

i blew it up

this aught to teach me a lesson.  I updated the version of wordpress that I was using on my Mixed Student Resources site and some how I blew up the category file in the sequal db in the background.  eeerrrrrgggg.  At least I was able to back up the posts (which would have killed me if that hadn’t worked).  I then reinstalled the new version of wordpress and imported the posts back to the site.  Now I have to recreate my categories.

I may have to reconsider how I have my theme set up.  It is very category dependent, which at the time I liked but in lieu of this set back I may reconsider my theme and how it runs.

But again.  Rebuilding categories not the worst thing in the world, trying to rebuild all my posts might have really gotten me down.

The lesson – back up your work often!
