I am currently at a conference. I decided that this morning I needed to go to the 8am session. Needless to say last night I didn’t go to bed early to accomodate this early rise and during the session I felt like it was thursday mornings of the second semester of my junior year of college (Tasha you remember what I’m talking about).
Is it considered unprofessional to curl up in the conferece hotel lobby and take a nap?
So as many have heard, I am going to be making my own wedding dress. I chose a vintage 50s dress. At that time the patterns only came with one size per package. So since it was the size that it was, I have to alter the pattern to fit me. To help me do this I decided to make a dress form. I think that this will really be helpful since its kindof hard to alter a pattern on your own body. I had seen a dressform post on Etsy Labs about making a duct tape dress form.
My lovely sister helped me out with this. It took less time than I thought to wrap me all up in duct tape a couple of times. but we had a good time doing it. Just make sure to go to the bathroom before getting all wrapped up because it’s not easy getting around like that.
My mom took some photos in mid wrap so I will post them later today when I get them from her.
I was a little worried about what I would think after i got out of the silver suit. It is odd to see how much space you take up in the world but from the outside. Its not as bad as I thought, but it certainly adds a new dimension to keeping me motivated at the gym. I now KNOW what I look like.
