So I am out of my two year contract with ATT.  I am looking for a reason to stay.  If they gave me a phone at a good price I would probably stay.  I was looking at the Blackberry Curve and I saw that if I upgraded to that phone it would be a cost of $299 (??) and then of course there is the increased cost of the data plan.  What pisses me off about this is that a new customer, someone looking to sign a new two year contract can get the phone for $199.  I called the customer service line to confirm that this was the case and she said yes to which I said, well it seems like you really don’t want to keep your existing customers then do you?  Am I not essentially a new customer since i have to sign a new two year contract?

Anyway, I signed up with Cingular when I first got my phone, not ATT, and i have watched ATT start the process of screwing people royally.  I am seriously considering moving over to T-Mobile.  I like that they are experimenting with the UMA technology, especially since they added the Blackberry Curve (a good smartphone) to their lineup of phones that can use it.  And after comparing plans, I would come out at pretty much the same price for unlimited data and comperable minutes (and unlimited text messages).

Sorry Mario  - I may have to jump ship on ATT.  I know I sucked you into it, well wait you joined for the phone, so you will understand if I do so as well.

Actually I may wait to switch a little longer.  I just heard about a Curve with GPS (and Wi-fi i think, but I have to confirm)

soon my mobile blogging will become easier!
