A kid.

These are some of the answers I have recieved from kids who are trick or treating tonight.

I am the only one home, and of course we forgot to go get candy so I had to run to the store to get some, and then I realized that I forgot my wallet so I had to run back home get the money and then run back to the store… anyway, I think I may have missed the cute young kids who actually have costumes on. There have been a few groups with costumes and there have been at least a couple of groups with just plain clothes. One group was what I can only assume to be immigrant children because they looked to be African, muslim, I want to say Etheopian but that could be wrong. ANyway, I would bet money that their parents really don’t know that much about how halloween is supposed to work, or care, it was just 7 kids with their pillowcases. At least they are going out and about.

The other group of kids are the kind that really annoy me on this holiday. They are the American kids that go out from house to house “trick or Treating” with no costumes on, and what makes it worse, is they really don’t make anything up when people like me ask, “so what are you supposed to be?” One kid answered, “just myself” , another kid just sort of shrugged and said ” a Gangster”… Really, a gangster… So I gave them all boxes of Nerds and said, “well then you all get Nerds, beacuse Gangsters need Nerds” I just don’t want to have bored angry neighbor kids who feel like egging someones house or car or something.

Ok so a cute group of kids just came to the door, making my annoyance much less. I like to see the really little kids who are dressed up and are not really sure what is going on, but under stand that there is candy involved. I also like to see the parents who dress up a little bit and are excited with their kids.

Anyway, I am not sure when I became all crotchety. I had it in my head that I was going to do all this cleaning and start painting the baseboards in the kitchen, but then on the bus home I remembered that there was supposed to be trick or treating and that mario would be gone until about 9 (post trick or treating) Who have I become? i want to clean instead of give children candy? oh dear lord…..

As a person who is trying to be more friendly to the environment as well as save money, I appreciate public transportation. But as a somewhat snarky type I get annoyed as hell at some of these biddies on the bus.
I take a bus most days from the park and ride to work and on this bus areots of people who work in the hospitals in the area. The majority of people are like myself in that they take the same bus at the same time every evening. Consequently I get to hear the same ladies bitching about the same damn things every night. (I just remembered I have headphones) ah much better.
I always just want to say, give it up you bitched about this yesterday. And when this goes on in my head I suddenly get scared because I have a tendancy to hold grudges and I fear becoming like these types when I get old and still ride the bus.

I need an elecric car…..
