It has been a while since I have posted anything other than a picture from Icanhascheezeburger.com and actually a LOT has happened.

For one thing, I am writing this from my NEW computer! It came in the mail a couple of fridays ago and I have been loving it. It is light and small, but its a 13.5 inch widescreen screen so i don’t feel like i am missing anything. In fact, I set it on top of the dell I was using and the foot print is about the same.

It came with Vista basic which to be honest, not that impressed with. I haven’t been doing too much with it however besides surfing the web and checking email. It seems though like even with a gig of ram that it is not as zippy as I thought it would be. I almost just want to put xp on it . But Mario and I have plans for this little baby. We are going to partition my drive into 3 sections. One will hold all of my documents and files and everything. One will have vista on it, and any other fun windows programs on it. And a third partition will have Fedora 7 on it. I have been watching Mario use Fedora on his desktop for a while and it looks pretty cool. And I might actually get to get the 3d stuff to work on it as well. I am looking forward to the experiment.

Can I just tell you how much I love this computer. I can move from one room to another, and this computer holds a pretty good charge for a regular old laptop (I have it set on the battery saving mode). And its quiet too. Mario is jealous because his computer always sounds like its about to take off. Given a few years i am sure my computer will begin to have that problem

Anyway, that is the scoop on the new compy in the house. I guess that means we have my couple of extra computers now to use as fodder for robots or other household computational doodads

It turns out that i can get into my blog through the normal wordpress login screen. Maybe its the updated version of opera i in using. Yeah mobile blogging.
