pick a hosting company and stick with it

Just recently Mario and I started a business, as web hosting resellers (company name still undecided). Anyway, as part of this we moved all of our websites over to the new hosting company. The easiest to move this far have been the strictly html sites. Just copy and paste. I still have to go through and check all the links on the gallery site, but for the most part its fine.

The blogs are proving a little trickier to move.  I was happy to see how easy the transferring of information from my old database to this new one was, but then I had to move all of my theme and plugin files.  The Plugins are easy enough to reactivate, but now I have to make sure that the files and paths to all the files are all correct so that the plugins can find the photos and things that they are looking for.

The basic blog functions seem to be working fairly well.  But it appears that my mobile plugin (the one that makes this site viewable on mobile devices) is not happy.  I guess its back to the hacking board.

The good thing about this transition, is that I can rethink my photo plugin.  I had started out using  the AWESOM Pixel Gallery.  I liked it but it was not quite what i wanted.  I was browsing the forums and found a list of other photo plugins.  Browsing that list I found another photo gallery plugin called NextGen Gallery.  I have used it on my moms site (www.lindaorantes.info) and have really liked the ease of use in terms of managing the photos, and then also the user experience of someone looking at the photos.

Anyway, I am sure that the site will get back to fully functional soon.
