looking for a sexy QWERTY phone

Oh my life is so hard. Now that I have gotten mobile posting to work for this site, I actually want to do it. But posting anything more than a few lines is going to be a big pain in my behind on my current phone. I have a Nokia 6682 which for a smart phone has been WONDERFUL. I love that I can browse the web when I need to (ie mornings on the bus so I can read Wil Wheatons blog) or check email, retrieve directions that I have sent myself from Yahoo and even possibly make a Skype call on occasion. But replying to an email or text message with anything longer than a few words, pain in the ass. The 6682 is not really configured to be a messaging machine.

I still would like to have a Nokia, because they take my abuse and keep on ticking. Also there are so many programs that you can install to symbian systems that it makes a basic Nokia very customizable. But I need something with a Qwerty. The closest thing that I can see would be something in Nokia’s communicator line or the E62. I was looking at the 9300 the other day, but it looks REALLY big, and is not 3G. If only i were rich and could afford the new E90. Oh that thing is amazing.

Anyway, all of the smart phones out there with qwerty keys all have pretty small keys on them.  I did however see one that peaked my interest.  The Helio Ocean.  Its a new phone with a fairly unique design.  It’s a dual slider phone.  Slide it up and you access the normal phone key pad.  Then you can also slide it horizontally and have a qwerty key board.  I looked at one at Fry’s and it seemed pretty cool.  Nice size, felt sturdy when opening it.  But then the reviews started to flow in and it looks like its pretty buggy and slow for a first try.  part of my wants to get it just to try it, but then I stop myself and remind myself that being annoyed is not fun, and if its buggy and sluggish then its not worth it.

I will be keeping my eye out.  Hopefully the qwerty won’t go the way of the dinosaur with the introduction of the iPhone.  I like real buttons.

Any body have any suggestions?  phones? accessories?
