Today the last piece of the puzzle came together. I had made the Mixed Student Resources site from an html template that I downloaded and then converted it to a wordpress/PHP format. I found this great tutorial at UrbanGiraffe.com which I used to strip down a wordpress theme and then add in the style from the html theme. From there I modified the theme to get it to flow the way I wanted and over all things were good. However I always had one little problem. On the individual posts, if the actual text of the post was shorter than the sidebar, the background would not meet the footer. And weirder yet in only happened in Fire Fox. So a while after I got to that point i posted a comment on the UrbanGiraffe tutorial about my problem.
Today was the day baby! I checked my email this morning (from my phone of course) and noticed an email from the sites author and he had a fix for me. Of course it was something so easy, a tiny little line of code that just made it all better.
I love the internet. You can learn new things, and connect with people that you may never meet. I really appreciate his help. They say the web divides people, that it makes us have less social interaction, but I say that it allows us access to other people we wound not have had access to before and allows us to connect on a grander scale.
YeaY Interweb.
