The iPhone cometh

Ok I am by no means a Mac fanboy (or fangirl if we want to be precise) but I just saw what they released about the iPhone and I have to say, if its as slick as the site makes it out to be that is one pretty sweet phone. I am impressed with the touch interface. I have seen some other stuff online about some of the new interfaces that you manipulate with two fingers to stretch photos and such. The 2 mega pixel camera is a good start. It think anything less would just be pointless and not seen as competative.
I will be interested to see how big it actually is once its in your hand, and also how it feels to type on the qwerty keyboard seeing as its in the screen and not actual buttons.

It sounds like Cingular/AT&T will be the carrier in the states so thats good for me if I were to decide to go with it, but the $499 price tag (which I assume will go down soon enough) is going to keep alot of people from getting it, unless of course they are in the market for lower storage capacity mp3 player, and a phone at the same time. If thats the case combining the cost of both of those items may not be that much less than an iPhone.

Nokia has responded in a cordial way, but clearly this first gen iPhone does not have as many features as some of the N Series phones (gps is included on the N95 *giddy elf dance*) so people can choose functions over flash. again, we will see.
